FEUERHAND STURMKAPPE - DBP - Nr. 276STK - EMIL HAUER HBG-HAMBURG KEROSENE LANTERN

FEUERHAND Nr. 276STK - DPB TYPE 3 MODEL

This lantern was in extremely good shape when I received it from a very good friend (thank you so much Dan!). It came with an amber Rhewum globe which is etched. The lantern now has a red Auer globe residing in it.

On the fuel fount, it is embossed 'EMIL HEUER HBG - HAMBURG'. On the sturmkapp, it is embossed "FEUERHAND" - STURMKAPPE - DBP and then Garantiert Sturmsicher.

'Garantiert Sturmsicher' = Guaranteed Stormproof

'DBP' = DBP stands for Deutsches Bundespatent (Federal German Patent) of the new German Federal Republic after the war.

This model FH 276 StK DBP is the latest and last of the three DBP models (Type 3) and is already equipped with the large air holes still used in the chimney. The additional mark K1452 on the younger two types of DBP (types 1 and 2) and the two older models (types 2 and 3) of the 'DBPa' is no longer found on this lantern.
