FRITZ MÜCHLER - 'MARO'
Complete and all original 'MARO' Kerosene lantern by Fritz Müchler. The only information I have is that the Maro lantern was manufactured by him in Mettmann. Mettmann is close to
Düsseldorf in Germany.
This is a very unique construction. You can remove the wing nuts and take the entire lantern apart for cleaning out the air tubes. It is in extraordinary condition; no leaks in the
fuel tank and very solidly built. When lit up, it burns very well and produces quite a bit of light. Embossed on the fuel tank is ' MARO D.R.P.' = Deutsches Reichspatent. The globe is pristine with deep embossing of the man running; a marathon runner.
It is my understanding that there are two known versions of this lantern. The other model was made for export to France. Fritz Müchler is also known for his watches and more commonly, his wine cork pullers which are highly collectible.
This lantern was able to make it into my collection with the kind assistance of a fellow collector
in Germany who knew I had been searching for this lantern. Thank you so much Dan-Bjoern Landschoof!

Ich bin seit kurzer Zeit Dochtlampeninfiziert, hat mit einer 201 FH angefangen wegen der schönen Form wie ich fand, jetzt bin ich auf anderen Pfaden unterwegs und ich muss sagen diese Lampe ist ein Traumteil, technisch und optisch, Leider habe ich noch wenig gute Kontakte und bin auch jetzt finanziell nicht in der Lage jeden Preis zu zahlen, weil meine Frau mich für verrückt hält, du hast doch schon so viele Lampen wozu braucht man das, aber ich bin hoch interessiert und moriviert. Ja das wars schon eigentlich wollte ich nur sagen wie schön diese Lampe ist. Einen Sammlergruß
