ALBERT FRANK 'KAISER' LANTERN WITH KAISER GLOBE

ALBERT FRANK 'KAISER' LANTERN WITH ETCHED KAISER MÜNCHNER KINDL *(Munich Child - Angel) GLOBE.

This is a very rare Albert Frank Lantern.  I already owned the etched Kaiser Globe by Albert Frank and now it has the proper home. The lantern had been dropped at one point in its life so the air tubes have pushed down into the top of the fuel tank. This can not be fixed without risking damaging the entire lantern so it remains as it is.

The shape of the fuel tank is unlike any other lantern I own. It is more oblong than round. The bottom of the fuel tank has been soldered all the way around by the seams.

The lantern was missing the most important part which was the brass pedal which operates the globe lift. With the kind assistance and brilliance of Mike Lawless, he fabricated a beautiful solid brass pedal for this lantern. Thank you Mike!

One of the most outstanding features of this lantern is the embossed brass MÜNCHNER KINDL burner thumb wheel.
