This is darkroom lantern manufactured by the R.E. Dietz Company under contract for the E.T. Anthony Company of New York. It is the Dietz Ruby Darkroom Lantern, but rebranded "E.A. Pocket Lantern"
on the flip cover.
E. & H. T. Anthony & Company was the largest supplier and distributors of photographic supplies in the United States. during the 19th century. The Pocket Lantern was designed
to not let out any white light when working in the darkroom.
Brass Burner and Drop-out fount and burner for easy refilling. Built in reflector.
The glass is original to the lantern which is clear and opposite of the Dietz Ruby Model which had red glass.
This lantern is fully functional and was very fun to light up for the first time after I cleaned it up. It has only been lightly polished with Renaissance Museum Wax.
