(New Old Stock - Never burned)

This is part of the Bat 158 Series.  Sold as a 'Camping Lantern', it comes with a black reflector and chain.  This lantern is a more special as it is not tinned or varnished.  It is constructed with a TOMBAK, which is a high percent copper alloy.  It has a clear glass globe that is etched with the logo 'CRYSTAL'.  I am able to have this beautiful Batela thanks to the generosity of Wolf!  Thank you Wolf!

TOMBAK was used due to its property of being more weather resistant.  The TOMBAK Bat 158's command the highest price as opposed to the other models in the series.

The fuel fount has a richer color of copper than the air tubes do.  The air tubes and chimney almost appear to be brass when shined.

If left alone to age, it will take on a much darker patina.

Absolutely stunning, Mel! I have a NOS version of this Bat, however, as nice as it is, it pales in comparison to your’s.
Bloody good show, Lassie, It’s beautiful! Sir Jeffrey
