Frölich and Wolter (FROWO) Nr. 240

Fröhlich and Wolter (FROWO) Nr. 240

The globe that came with this lantern was a beautiful red Feuerhand globe that was for a FH 260/280 Lantern. This is why I purchased the lantern.  The lantern was also covered in old lead red paint, which was a struggle to remove because of the amount of 'pitting' on this lantern.

It does have a few small pinholes (the air tubes and fount).  The globe, now installed in the lantern, came from Germany and is a very deep cobalt blue globe with the loc-nob feature.

The size of the Feuerhand Nr. 260 is identical to this Frowo.

*THE LAST THREE PHOTOS IN THE PHOTO GALLERY SHOW MY SECOND VERSION OF THE FROWO 240.  THE MARKINGS ON THE FUEL TANK ARE DIFFERENT AND THIS ONE HAS THE EMBOSSED FROWO GLOBE.

Circa: 1933 - to end of production in 1971
