FEUERHAND Nr. 175F -  FAHRRADLATERNE

BICYCLE LANTERN - LAMP

The bracket was made for Feuerhand by the company of Hermann Riemann, founded in 1866. Very well known for the bicycle lanterns they produced. The logo is clearly present on the bracket. The only reason I was able to reveal this logo was because I stripped off the remaining black paint. A very nice surprise!

The tinned mirrored reflector is in place along with the original globe. This lantern has been fully restored back to functional use and painted, once again, in the original RAL German Jet black color.

When I purchased this lamp, the description of the lantern included this text: "Although the glass has gunshot residue..."  Apparently, this Feuerhand has seen battle.

    Hi there...

    What a wonderful, informative site!

I have the same bike lantern but, it is missing the glass and also, missing the reservoir cap. Might you have for sale the correct missing pieces?

    Kindest regards...Lynn
