    Hello William,

I have both versions of the FH270 on my website and to the best of my knowledge, both versions were imported into the USA.

Hello Don! I have a Feuerhand Nr. 270 lantern that is in good condition. It resembles the one pictured above in every way except for how the carrying handle is attached to the tube frame. The handle on mine goes directly into the tube and is held in place in an upright fashion for carrying. I looked at the pictures in the Export to India and the way the handle shows on some of those is similar to the one I have. But the details on mine resemble the Export to U.S.A. for everything else. Do you know if the Export to U.S.A. had 2 different ways (models) in which the carrying handle attached? Any information you can provide on the difference in carrying handle would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    Hi Don,

Yes, it was common to have a Dietz globe in this Nier. It was a marketing technique used by Nier. Feel free to use the main contact form and then you will be able to send me a few photos of what you have. This is just a general comment area.

I have found a Nier lantern as pictured above with the Little Wizard globe. Was it standard for them to come together. I’d like to restore it and would appreciate advise. Thanks.

    Hello Mike,

You have a wonderful treasure from your Grandfather. The value is increased if you do have the embossed globe. Those are difficult to find for this particular model. The Feuerhand Nr. 270 was an export from Germany to the USA during the early 1930's. As far as value, I would need to see some photos of it. Please use the main contact form and then we can communicate via email.

We were just given the exact lantern above with the correct Feuerhand Nr. 270 globe that belonged to my grandfather. We were just wondering the background and value of it. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thank you
