Complete and all original 'MARO' Kerosene lantern by Fritz Müchler.  The only information I have is that the Maro lantern was manufactured by him in Mettmann.  Mettmann is close to Düsseldorf in Germany.

This is a very unique construction.  You can remove the wing nuts and take the entire lantern apart for cleaning out the air tubes.  It is in extraordinary condition; no leaks in the fuel tank and very solidly built.  When lit up, it burns very well and produces quite a bit of light.  Embossed on the fuel tank is ' MARO   D.R.P.' = Deutsches Reichspatent.  The globe is pristine with  deep embossing of the man running; a marathon runner.

It is my understanding that there are two known versions of this lantern.  The other model was made for export to France.  Fritz Müchler is also known for his watches and more commonly, his wine cork pullers which are highly collectible.

This lantern was able to make it into my collection with the kind assistance of a fellow collector

in Germany who knew I had been searching for this lantern.  Thank you so much Dan-Bjoern Landschoof!

The last photos in the gallery show a beautiful brass MARO D.R.P. scraper and a MARO D.R.P. Wine cork puller (Korkenzieher).  These were made possible for the collection by Dan-Bjoern Landschoof.  Thank again Dan!!!

I'm researching information about the Maro D R P corkscrew (Korkenzieher) and I'd like to know what the letters D R P stand for. Can anybody tell me?

I love the bolt together design. Beautiful globe and the shadow it casts is awesome. I also love your silly Billy goat in the background.
